Getting Quite Nervous...

Ok so there wont be any picture this post. The computer I am on is not allowing me upload any... so pictures will be coming shortly. Onto another note, I am a little over 35 weeks and boy am I getting nervous. See, I am the type of person that gets so scared of the unknown. For instance, I was terrified before I had to get my blood drawn for the first time. That terror quickly passed when I realized I was making way too big of a deal of it all. The same thing goes for about anything I do. Like right before I get up and sing in front of a crowd, or give a talk anywhere, or say a prayer in front of a large group of people, or go on a roller coaster, or even when I am in the waiting room for my normal Dr. appointments. I just get really scared until it is all over. Well I am getting really nervous for the labor and delivery. I am not a woos, I know I can handle pain up to a certain point.... that point will be when I get the lovely epidural. I am willing to do whatever it takes to get this baby boy here safely. It all is just a little overwhelming at times ya know?? I am sure I am making this all a bigger deal than it will be, but there is just so many things that could go wrong. I want the baby to be safe and healthy for the most part, and I want to be a good mommy for him. I have had such wonderful examples in my life of wonderful mothers and I hope I have learned something from all of them. Dallas is a little nervous too, as all first time dads are. His biggest issues are wanting his son to get here safely and not having to change poopy diapers. All I am trying to say here is that it is getting close for us to have this baby!!!!! Time has flown and here we are, stressing about getting the "bags" packed for our hospital stay. Am I scared..... YES, a little overwhelmed with all sorts of emotions... YES, ready to meet our little guy that we are SOOOOOO in LOVE with..... YES!!!! I could not be more scared/ excited for anything in my life! So, for any of you that have positive comments for how I am feeling, lay them on me. It might just calm me down a bit.

ang, I just saw Jodie Staples little baby Lucy like 30 mins ago and she is so beautiful. Jodie said that she was scared too but that everything was so perfect and she thought it was a neat experience not scary like she thought. I know that it is scary to deal with the unknown but it is such a wonderful experience at the same time. I cant wait to see pictures! Make sure that you post some so I can see your sweet little guy! hang in there!!

Angie! I'm so excited for you!! Feeling scared/overwhelmed is totally normal! Pretty sure if there's anybody not nervous or scared a little they are the abnormal ones. I was way scared with Avery and I'd always tear up thinking about it, not knowing if something would go wrong. But it all went smoothly, and when it's happening all the stuff you thought you'd be scared for just kind of happens and you realize it's no big deal! I was so nervous for the epidural and when they came in to give it to me I held Brian's hands and started bawling cause I was so nervous and afraid... but it was NOTHING! It was easier than the IV... so anyways bottom line, you'll be fine! I'm excited for you guys!

Normal Normal Normal! The thing that will shock and amaze you is 2 months from now and for the rest of your life, you will look back on this event that you're so scared of now and realize that it was one of the most spiritual moments of your life. There are not many ways to feel closer to Heavenly Father than to bring one of his little ones into the world.

Girl, its going to be just fine! Not that I would know. But people are having babies all the time and they go back and do it again for some reason...it will be scary but just say a prayer and have Dall with you the whole time and you will do great! Every minute of it just think of precious baby boy who will be looking into your eyes after its all over. Not to mention...you will get to see me only a few short days after that! :) I cant wait to see that little bugger, he is going to be soooo perfect! I love you!

Oh Angie you are soo cute! I feel the same way about our little guy, but I just have to keep telling myself that the Lord blesses us and gives us strength to do things we NEVER thought possible! Good luck in the weeks to come, but I don't think you and Dall will need it! You guys are going to be such great parents and the Lord will be right there with you!!

Angie you'll do great! You're strong and healthy and you're a determined person. You have a wonderful husband by your side to help you. You're all set for success!

P.S. I think pregnancy is way harder than labor and delivery and you've pretty much finished that portion of it.

A wise man once said: "It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It will all work out. If you do your best, it will all work out..Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us...if we put our trust in Him, if we pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings. He will hear our prayers."

Good luck and just remember things aren't as bad as you think they are! Remember your history: making a big deal out of nothing. Your delivery will be the same!! You will be the best mommy!

My sister told me not to be nervous, but to think of it like Christmas. It is so exciting it really does feel like Christmas. When my water broke I was so excited, I thought 'today I am going to meet my baby boy!' My best advice is to get the epidural as soon as possible...there is no reason to wait, and luckily my hospital doesn't make you wait! You'll enjoy it so much more if you aren't feeling the contractions. You will do great! Email me so I can add you to my blog:)

haha! I was the same exact way. I would get such anxiety and just freak out! I was scared but excited. I know you will be the best mother and once you see your little guy your heart will forever be taken away by him. I am so happy and excited for you and I still need your phone number so I can come over and see him and give you your present! :)
