And so it comes to an end Part 1...

So it is the last and dreadful day of August. Which means summer is really coming to a close. If anyone knows me at all... they would know that I am always sad to see summer leave. I love autumn, and I even love winter.. up till Christmas that is. After that, I just get really deperesed. I mean with all that cold, windy, snowey weather... it just kind of wears on you. I am the most happy in the summer time and i am sad to say goodbye. So any warm day i get from here on out.. i will be making the best of every second of it. Such a somber moment!!!

Goodbye days where the best way to spend a summer day would be drinking Lemonade outside in the sun. I'll miss you very much!

and goodbye warm, wet, and relaxing swimming pool.

And so it comes to an end..

... and HELLO Beautiful Autumn!

On another note.. look how good a baby looks in Dallas's arms!!! Dallas is holding baby Lucas, my cousin Erins baby. He is so cute! I'm only making a big deal about this picture because a. I am extremely baby hungry and b. Dallas thinks babies are too fragile for him to hold. He is affraid he will break them. So I LOVE this picture... and dallas is a natural!

ODE to Rachel!!!

So many things have happened since i last wrote. I'll spare you from the Breaking Dawn obsession. Oh where to begin... Well I did try out for AI at the end of July. Me, my cousin Dave, my mom and my aunt Debbie all went. We got up at 3:30 in the morning to be down at the ESA at 5:00am to stand in line... for 3 hours. We did a lot of waiting and then they cattle called us down to the floor so we could try out in groups of 4. So the guy that was judging me asked me to sing 4 songs. Then he said he was letting me go because i had the "voice" just not the stage presence. What the??? I guess i just didnt understand. If they wanted me to perform to my fullest, they should have asked. I was just doing what they asked me to do. But oh well. I know now that AI is just not for me. At least i can say i did it. Then the day after, me and dallas where invited to go to Lake Powell with our good friends family, the Johnsons. Derek and Nicole are our friends and it was so fun! We stayed for 4 days and just had a blast. I actually got up on the knee board and i did a little surfing off the back of the boat. That is HUGE for me. It really was the funnest thing we have done all summer. We love them and are glad they asked us to go with them. Here are some pics. Enjoy!

The flowers Dall got me for AI. He is just so sweet!

Us on the molecule. This tube was Awesome!

Dallas Wake Boarding. He was really good!

Me and Nicole.. I look Terrible, dont judge!

So on a more sad note... my best friend in the whole world left yesterday for North Carolina for 4 years. Her husband Josh is going to med school there. It was a hard day for me!! But it was even harder for Ali. The day she left was her little sister Michelle's wedding day. Ali got to go to the temple but she had to leave after pictures were taken there. I was lucky enough to be invited. I feel close enough tp those girls that they could be my sisters!! I love the Hair Family! So i got to see Ali at the temple, then i just couldnt handle it any more. I just gave her my goodbye present, gave her two big hugs and just left. I started bawling all the way to my car! It was just an emotional day. So ALI.... I love you and I am so glad you are my best friend. You have been the greatest!! It's not good bye, it's See you at christmas... and I'll call you a few times every week!!!!
Ali's younger sis Michelle looking gorgeous on her wedding day!

BEST FRIENDS!! Love you Ali!

Fabulous 24th...

So our 24th of July was quite joyous. We started out the day sleeping in, which was much needed! Dallas decided to go golfing with his cousin Jeff while I stayed home cleaning and doing some online shopping from Layers... I bought a swimsuit that was 20% off. I couldnt pass it up. Then Dallas and I had some Cheesecake Factory Gift cards so we went there and got right in. We sat on the patio.. in the shade so we got the works. It was very delicious. Then we met up with our friends Randy & Steph and Sheldon & Michelle to go see fireworks at Liberty Park. Besides the bugs that wouldnt leave Dallas alone, it was quite a nice night with good company. Goodness i LOVE the summer!

Me and the wonderful bags of cheescake!

Testing the lighting

What can i say.. We're in LOVE!

The crew just waiting for the fire works to start... too bad we were sitting behind a large tree and really didnt get to see the best of them.

All in all.. it was a great one!

Fun Memories!

Memory Lane...I got this from a friend's blog. I hope you will play along. Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together (It can be a memory with either Mindi, Jason, or both). It doesn't matter if you knew me/us a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.

This is quite fun. I hope everyone I KNOW will participate!! So start thinking hard!

4th in Antimony!!!

So another year in Antimony for the 4th. Its a tradition that my family visits the grandparents and spend some quality time with one another.. lounging... laughing and catching up. K that was gay.... But really, I LOVE Antimony. We have been visiting since i was twelve so it really is a part of me. And i love that Dallas likes to go down and blow things up with his cousins, even though they almost killed him. Ha Ha. The trip was great. We got there thursday night, watched the parade early the next morning and did fun fourth of July things. Plus watched fire works at night. They were pretty sweet. Plus i got to hold lots of babies!!! It's going to have to hold me over for a while!

Last week, Me and Dall took a fun trip with our good friends to Las Vegas. Man was it HOT!!! We stayed at Sheldon and Michelle's time share condo and we had a lot of fun. We visited the strip a few times, hit the slots, had some good food (Cheesecake Factory) and got INSANE SUNBURNS!!! Me and dallas fried on the first day laying out. We were pretty miserable. But it was good to get away with some of the people we really care about!

Laser Hair Removal!

Ok... so i dont want to admit this but YES, I do laser hair removal. So I got the whole process done last year, about 5 months before i got married. It worked great when I was getting it done. They said that I would have to come back to get touch-ups for the random hairs that will still grow back... thiner and finer but still there. Well, I was one of the cases that it has actually gotten worse for. The hair that i WAS trying to get rid of was a lot thiner before i had it done than it is now. Oh the tears I have shed over this small but sensitive subject. So... after some family conversation and pressure, I called the place up where i had it done and complained. I basically said that everything it was suposed to do did the exact opposite. So they are doing a few more treatments on me at a stonger pulse than they used before, and for free. But can I say OUCH!!!!!! It hurt really bad before but this is 100 times worse. I even put numbing cream on before. So... my face feals like its on fire and it is still numb! (3 hours later) So i guess we'll see if it works this time.

Our 1st Anniversary..

So that Saturday was out 1 year anniversary. Oh how a year goes by. It is definately bittersweet. Dallas woke me up early Saturday morning and had me pack a bag for overnight. So we went on a "drive" in the Park City direction. We made our first stop at the Olympic Park in Park City and that was awesome. We got to see the bobsled and actual pro skiers training. They would ski down this slope that was drenched with water and do tricks off it and land in a big pool. We thought it was awesome. Then after that, he took me up to Deer Valley to a lodge were we would be staying called The Chateau at Silver Lake. It was awesome. Then we went to Grappa, which is a very good Italian resteraunt. All in all, I got spoiled. I love my husband so much and i'm grateful to have him as my companion! Aw... Tear. Here are some pics.

This was the bobsled. Dall wanted to go on it so bad. I chickened out.

This was the entrance to the Lodge from the underground parking. Are ya kidding me?!

Just takin it easy. Please notice the Robe!

Dall surprised me with my third band! I was SOOOOOO excited!!!
