9 Months and eating it up...

Well another month has come and gone just like that. Our Gabers is 9 months!!! It seems like this last month, he has grown a ton.... in the weight department. I am lifting weights JUST to be able to hold my son. We go in to the Dr's next Wednesday to see how Gabe is growing. I'll let you know that stats when I find out. His little personality is really starting to show. He is so funny to watch, especially when he doesn't know we are there. He sings to himself while he trys to get into everything. It is really cute. I think he does it to sooth himself.

Here are some things we have noticed gabe doing this month:

*He officially HATES Green Beans

*He really wants to crawl, we can see it... but he just drags himself everywhere he goes. That kids upper body strength is unbelievable

*He still does not have any teeth... I am not complaining because I am still nursing

*He flexes his arms and face when he gets really excited over something (I think hyper active kids do that.... oh no!)

*He is going through an "I'm obsessed with mommy" stage. He cries whenever I go out of the room and if I am in the room but I am not holding him, he screams.... and I mean Screams

*He still falls asleep every time we go for a car ride, even if it is only for a few minutes

*He LOVES his sippy cups but hates bottles or binkis

*He went to the pool for the first time last week and he loves the water... but he loves watching the kids more. He is a people watcher... like his mommy!

*He has learned how to do the Motor Boat with his mouth

*He dances whenever there is music on... and sings to it

Will not hold still long enough for me to take more than one picture

Oh, and he is climbing up to everything!!!

Then we tried sitting on the couch to get a better picture...

But Gabe wasn't having any of that!!!

Dad's Birthday and Father's Day...

This weekend was quite the fun and exciting one. Not only was it Fathers Day, but it was also my Dad's Birthday. I wont say how old he is but he definitely doesn't look his age... he looks MUCH younger. The family started Saturday off my hitting the South Jordan parade. The kid's LOVED it! Gabe however was a little restless. I'll give him a few years to actually enjoy a parade. Then after the parade, my mom, sisters and me went to a family bridal shower. Then we headed back to my parents house to celebrate my Dad's birthday. The kids had the pool and slip'n'slide out and we had a nice BBQ outside. There really is nothing better than a BBQ outside in Great weather with your family!!! Happy Birthday Dad. We LOVE you very much!

This Fathers Day was Dall's very first so I wanted to make it a great day for him. He is such a great Daddy to his Gabers and I am so thankful that I married him... or rather He married Me!! I have known Dallas for a long time but when we had Gabe, I got to see a whole new side of him. He is just the BEST dad to our son. Gabe and I LOVE you Dall so much. Thanks for being the world's best DAD to our baby boy!!!

And Happy Fathers Day to MY AWESOME DAD!!! I couldn't have asked for a better father! Thank you for your example and everything you have taught me and are still teaching me. We love you more that words can say!

I had to post this GORGEOUS picture of my baby boy... who lately is not seeming so "BABY." He pulled himself up to a chair today and stood all on his own. Gabriel..... please stop growing!!! Thats Mommy's orders!! Oh how I LOVE you so!

Antimony...

So it has almost been a year since my last visit to Antimony. First of all, let me say that that is WAY too long of a time period to go without an Antimony fix and I hope to never do it again. Oh the trip was much needed. My mom, Gabe and I decided to get away for a few days and visit Grandpa Burr. It was quite the relaxing trip. We saw Sheep being herded by farmers, cows of coarse, grandpa's chickens, California condors, an owl and even REAL Mountain Men. I don't think I have ever seen so much in a trip down there. I took lots of pictures because everything was so green and gorgeous down there. Oh I LOVE Antimony!!!

Oh Technology...

So here I am, publishing a post from my dad's new HTC EVO 4G. I am new to the technology that allows this. Just wanted to let you all know. More post's to come on my trip to Antimony and our 3rd Anniversary.

Gabe is 8 Months!!!

So another month has come and gone too fast and Gabe keeps getting bigger and bigger.. oh and cuter and cuter! He has the most ADORABLE personality that shows more and more each day. He has done so much this last month, I hope I can remember it all. But the one thing he will never stop doing doing is putting smiles on our faces. So here goes the list:

*He is learning how to do all sorts of Yoga positions (downward dog and downward plank) and this is because he refuses to crawl and maneuvers this way

*He said MAMA!!!!! It was clear as a bell. Dallas refuses to believe it but I know what I heard. Whether Gabe knew what he was saying or not, he said that sweet little word!!!

*He will ONLY go to sleep when:

-Daddy is rocking him

-He is going for a car ride

-Momma leaves him in his crib long enough to fall asleep

*He will NOT go to sleep when:

-Momma is rocking him

-Momma is nursing him

-Momma is holding him and singing to him

(FRUSTRATING)

*Loves to sleep on his belly and only on his belly

*He is making this new scrunched up face when we make silly faces or noises at him. Its almost like he only thinks we are amusing... but not quite funny anymore

*Has developed a MONSTER appetite... like his father

*Still screams like a girl

*He sings himself to sleep

*Oh, and he got Thrush this last month... WHAT?!?!

We are OBSESSED with Gabers and don't know what we would do without him. He just makes life AMAZING!

Bragging Rights

So I know no words need to be said about how ADORABLE my son is.... so do I have Bragging Rights??? YOU BET I DO!!!! I am SO Obsessed with this little boy. I almost cried today just thinking about how I will never get to hold him as a little 6 ib 8 oz baby, never get to change his FIRST poopy daiper, never get to give him his FIRST bath and so many other FIRSTS! I know I will get to do all those things again... but not with my Gabers. Am I silly for being sad about all of this? We love him more than we ever thought we could love someone. It is just insane the love and protection I feel for this little soul. Oh, we love you Gaber Boy! Here are some cute shots I got of him this last week... he just melts my heart!

To my Girls...

So I wanted to post about two very important people in my life that I got to spend time with this last week. Ali Holt and Kristen Rockwood. I have been friends with these two ladies for I believe six years now. First of all... Crazy how time flies!!!! These women have really made my life so much better. They are THE example of what friendship is all about. We have been through some fun, crazy, stupid, emotional and exciting times together. Everything from Ex-Boyfriends, Spring Breaks to St. George/ Vegas and San Diego, Our Weddings, Living out of State and now our Babies. Ali was in town for her baby Boston's baby blessing (wow, lots of B's there.) We got to see that exciting moment in their lives. Me and Kris also went to Baby Boston's newborn photo shoot. That was great too... simply because we just got to be together. I missed out on a night of desert at Chili's due to Dalls birthday but we made up for it by going to lunch at Olive Garden were we talked and just played with the Babies. I want to tell these girls that I LOVE and APPRECIATE their friendship more than they will ever know. They have helped me along my little life's journey over the last six years by being the best friends anyone could ever ask for. Thanks Ali and Kris! I love you and I am so grateful for both of you!!!

Today, Dallas turned 26!!!! I cant believe how old we are getting! This post is going to get MUSHY so be warned. I wanted to jot down a few things that I LOVE about the man I have known for 11 years.

My Mothers Day

I am so grateful to me a new mommy this year to the best little boy on this planet!!! I am so lucky to have such a sweet spirit in our home. He has blessed our lives so much having him here with us. I always knew I wanted to me a mom and I hoped that I would make as good a mother as my mom has been to me and my siblings. I look back at ALL of the things she did for us growing up. She would have stopped anything she was doing just to be there if we needed her. She taught us wonderful life lessons through teaching and just by her good, sweet example. I am so lucky to have a mother so wonderful. I really believe we chose to be with eachother here on this earth. I LOVE YOU MOM!!! I hope I can be as good a mother to Gabe as you have been to me. Thank you for everything you do for me and my little family daily!
